Real Talk & Transformation

Together We Thrive – Votes are in and so far a whopping 80% are in favour of In-Person, Home Catch-Ups.

What are the meetings offering? I have some ideas below that I would like to work through with what people actually want from a meeting.

This is NOT a WW meeting so you don’t need to be a workshop member and I am NOT a WW coach. You will need to contact me prior to a meeting if you are interested in attending. This will be at my home in Gladstone Park, (Tullamarine) Victoria for a limited number – I don’t live in a hall and I don’t live in a mansion! 😃

without workshops and the support of the people there, I would never have been able to do this

IDEAS FOR THE MEETINGS

Weigh in by choice

I have very good digital scales. You can download the app that is linked to these scales and keep a record of this if you want. You keep track and hold yourself accountable. I am thinking of offering charms, similar to what Weight Watchers did. I know I am very proud of mine.

Meal Planning

I love meal planning and it is super helpful to me so it might be helpful to others. I would love to show participants  how to create healthy, balanced, and easy-to-follow meal plans that align with points or macros (depending on which way you swing). This will include tips on portion control, meal prep strategies, and how to snack smartly.

Cooking Demonstration

Anyone that knows me knows I love to cook. I am considering live cooking demonstrations featuring simple, low-point recipes. This could include breakfast smoothies, quick lunches, a simple dinner or guilt-free desserts. Samples or recipe cards would be available to take home (or eat straight away!) 😂

Mindful Eating & Portion Control

Focus on the principles of mindful eating and how portion control plays a key role in weight loss. Share tools and techniques like using smaller plates, chewing slowly, and recognising hunger cues – always make sure you are not just thirsty. This can be a huge “I’m hungry” when I am actually just thirsty.

Grocery Shopping

Select low-point ingredients, and make healthy swaps. Picking the right time to shop – eg: not when I’m hungry!

Mindset Chat

Sharing experiences about overcoming setbacks and developing a positive mindset around food and weight loss. Using success stories and inviting guest speakers who have had significant success with diet programs.

Stress Management & Emotional Eating

Dive into the link between stress and emotional eating. Provide techniques for managing stress in healthy ways, such as journaling, meditation, or light exercise (funny coming from me I know). Many people I know love a walk or gym workout when they need to “get out of their head”.

Recipe Swap & Potluck

Organise a potluck where each attendee brings a weight conscious-friendly dish. Share recipes and tips for cooking meals that everyone can enjoy while staying within their points.

Goal Setting & Progress

Focus on setting achievable goals, both short-term and long-term. Provide tips for tracking progress, celebrating small wins, and adjusting goals as needed for continued success.

Is there a cost involved?

As this is very new and developing, nothing has been set. but I plan to keep any charge as budget friendly as possible. This will be to cover running and admin costs.

Registration

I’ll need some basic information about you before you attend.

When are the meetings

Wednesday mornings 9:00 weigh in (if wanted) for a 9:30am meeting.

Additional times may be added based on demand and group sizes.

Do you like these ideas work for a workshop we’re planning?

Vicki, I wish someone in your area would start something. I know how vital the workshop get togethers have been for me in my success so far.

You are an amazing, thoughtful and helpful person. I won’t be able to attend but good look with everything and those people who can attend are very fortunate. Thank you.

Thank you Lesley 💕 We now here that some of the workshops will be staying open, and initially I thought, we that is the end of this. Then I thought – my whole aim is not to just help WW people, but everyone that needs support in their weight journey. So I have decided, dependant on attendance to keep this going.
