THE WEDDING CAKE
When Elizabeth and Billy asked me to make their wedding cake, my heart was so full. It was truly an honour to create something special for my own daughter’s big day.
I put so much care into planning the perfect size—just enough for everyone to enjoy, but not too much. We had fun choosing the flavours: a classic vanilla cake with a delicious @lotusbiscoffus centre, finished with rich dark chocolate shavings from @kokoblackchocolate.
I couldn’t have done it without @funkybatter’s amazing recipes for both the cake and the buttercream. Honestly, they are the absolute best! The cake survived the journey to Torquay beautifully, and the buttercream held up perfectly, even in 28-degree heat.
The cake topper from @eventstobeau was exactly what the couple wanted—simple, elegant, and beautifully packaged. It’s something they can treasure forever, maybe even frame as a keepsake.
Seeing everyone enjoy the cake, especially the bride and groom, made me so happy. It was a day filled with love, and I’m grateful I could be a part of it in such a meaningful way.
