Word on the street & the final workshop it is!
Yesterday and today, my inbox and social media has been flooded with messages asking if I’ve “heard the news”—and you might be wondering the same thing!
So, what’s the news?
WW is bringing back workshops! While nothing official has been confirmed by WW just yet, word has it that an email with more details is coming this Thursday. At my WW workshop this morning, it was confirmed that our group will continue. As to any others, you need to wait for that next meeting or email.
My question is—why now?
Could it be that WW has recognised the impact that removing workshops has had on its members? Were they seeing a drop in membership or perhaps they sensed they were losing some of the community spirit they once had? Hopefully, Thursday’s update will shed some light on these questions and more.
What does this mean for my venture?
Together We Thrive will keep growing, and I look forward to supporting everyone in their wellness journey, no matter where they choose to meet!
Can anyone join Together We Thrive?
Absolutely! Everyone’s weight loss journey is unique, and anyone who wants to attend is welcome, no matter where they are in their journey. You DO NOT have to be a WW member.
Final Thoughts
Below is a survey helping me know what you would like from these meetings. I know what I want/need. Let me know yours.
Do you like these ideas work for a workshop we’re planning?

Does anyone else feel like these don’t seem accurate? They don’t consider your age or body type. I’d love to hear your thoughts below or via email!
Considering the original reason for the BMI scale there is no relevance for it’s use with so called normal people.
Sadly there doesn’t seem to be anything more logical to use.
Hi Blissfulf, I agree with you. I have scoured the internet for something else and there is nothing. My WW coach is a retired nurse and she has said try to pay not too much attention to BMI
Agree – I’m 64, size 12-14, eat healthy (lost 25kg with WW), do 4 boot camps per week, classed as extremely fit for a woman my age (Fitbit)….yet according to WHO my BMI classes me as obese – like body image isn’t enough of a struggle!!
Isn’t it just crazy Doris. I have looked everywhere for a CORRECT calculator and there is nothing out there, however I will not rest until I find SOMETHING that has a smidgen of accuracy!
BMI is a load of BS. Dosent take into consideration, build or age, if you are athletic or your height.
This is so good to hear that you agree. So many people get stuck on their BMI that they don’t look at the bigger picture
