Creating your own almond meal with a Thermomix is a fantastic way to enjoy fresh, preservative-free almond meal in your recipes. Whether you’re baking gluten-free treats or adding almond meal to various dishes, having a homemade supply is both convenient and cost-effective. Here’s a straightforward guide on how to make almond meal using your Thermomix:

Ingredients/Tools:

  • 250 grams of almonds
  • Thermomix

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Almonds:

  • Begin by measuring out 250 grams of almonds. It’s best to use raw, unsalted almonds for this process.

2. Place Almonds in the Thermomix Bowl:

  • Carefully add the measured almonds to the Thermomix bowl.

3. Secure the Lid and Measuring Cup:

  • Place the lid onto the Thermomix bowl, ensuring it is securely locked in place. Additionally, put the measuring cup (MC) on top of the lid.

4. Blend the Almonds:

  • Set your Thermomix to operate at Speed 7 for 10 seconds. During this time, the almonds will be finely ground into almond meal.

5. Transfer and Store:

  • Once the blending is complete, transfer the freshly ground almond meal into a clean, airtight jar, or container. Almond meal can be stored for up to 1 month at room temperature. If you want to extend its shelf life further, consider refrigerating or freezing it. Properly stored almond meal can often last even longer.

By following these simple steps, you’ll have your own homemade almond meal ready to use in various culinary creations. Homemade almond meal offers a fresher, additive-free alternative to store-bought varieties, and with the convenience of your Thermomix, you can enjoy the benefits of making it yourself whenever you need it.
