Why we have a Ninja Creami® & a Thermomix®

Joining the Ninja Creami fade to me was a hard thing. Especially owning a Thermomix. Are they the same thing. 100% No. Once I had seen one in action. I was sold.

When my daughter Elizabeth first bought her Ninja Creami® I asked WHY? You have a Thermomix. She said

“you have no idea how different this is. It’s Amazing”

Daniel my son’s birthday was a few weeks later and we decided to split the present and get him one. He messaged me the other night with

“The Creami realllllllly is a game changer hahaha”

So guess what – we bought one too. Chris’s birthday is in August so I asked him if he wanted an early EARLY birthday present. “Of course” – the Ice Cream Man said.

So here we are, with a Thermomix® AND a Ninja Creami® and let me tell you. Yes, the Thermomix does make ice cream, but not like this. You can make soft serve whip out of frozen berries and ice cream out of milk frozen into ice block size but this is, as Daniel said “a game change”

I am a person that likes ice cream occasionally, however I love a sweet treat of a night time and this is perfect. It doesn’t have to be a full bowl if you don’t want it to be and it is TOTALLY WW friendly. Fruit sorbets are 0 points. Ice cream 2 points. WOW!

We bought ours from Amazon and I highly recommend you to get a second set of bowls so you can have variety of ones in the freezer.

My Hints (and the kids) on the Creami

Freeze first 2-3 hours without a lid. It will stop a cone forming
After the first spin – scrap around the sides with a butter knife to loosen any frozen product
Don’t be afraid to RE-SPIN 2-3 times for that extra Creami factor
If you have put lumps of frozen fruit and liquid in the bowl – Smoothie Bowl spin, not Sorbet. Don’t damage your blades.
Your choice of MIX-INS – don’t be scared to experiment.
Ice Cream – Full Fat & Full Sugar
Sorbet – Low/No Fat & Sugar (fruit has natural sugar)
Lite Ice Cream – Low/No Fat & Low/No Sugar or Sugar Substitute
Gelato – Tends to have egg
