Annas Loaded Tuna Pasta Salad



Once again our Thermomix came into play with another of Anna’s recipes. This salad, crafted by the talented Anna Van Dyken, is truly exceptional. Bursting with flavour, it tantalizes the taste buds with its delightful combination of tastes and textures. Loaded Tuna Pasta Salad

What's Needed

  • Thermomix
  • Strainer
  • Large Bowl

Ingredients
  

SALAD

  • elbow pasta
  • 1.2 litre Water
  • broccoli
  • red capsicum
  • yellow capsicum
  • cherry tomatoes
  • red onion
  • can tuna in springwater
  • fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • fresh basil leaves plus extra leaves to serve

DRESSING

  • 99 % fat-free balsamic dressing
  • parmesan cheese
  • lemon zest
  • lemon juice
  • salt/pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add 1200ml water to TM Bowl
    Place lid and simmer basket on top
    1.2 litre Water
  • 10 mins | 100 degrees | Speed 1
  • Meanwhile - cut up broccoli into small florets
  • Add pasta to TM bowl - put on lid and simmer basket.

  • Add broccoli florets to the simmer basket
    Cook for the time that your pasta requires
    TIME | 100 degrees | REVERSE | Speed 1

  • Set aside to cool
  • If you add boiled eggs like I do use egg boiler mode. I like the medium setting
  • Add Capsicum, onion and herbs to TM bowl - chunks
    3 seconds | Speed 5
    If still to "chunky' for your liking - repeat
    red capsicum, yellow capsicum, red onion, fresh flat-leaf parsley, fresh basil leaves
  • Pour over cooled pasta and broccoli
    Add tomatoes & tuna
    cherry tomatoes, can tuna in springwater
  • NO NEED TO RINSE THE BOWL
  • Add dressing ingredients
    5 seconds | Speed 4
    99 % fat-free balsamic dressing, parmesan cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice
  • Pour over salad and enjoy
