Erase Odours after cooking strong flavours in the TM Bowl

Cooking in your Thermomix is a culinary adventure, and it’s no secret that it can produce wonderfully aromatic and flavorful dishes. However, sometimes those lingering odors from your previous culinary creations, especially those with heavy scents like curries, can be a bit persistent. The quick wash cycle is undoubtedly fantastic for regular cleaning, but when it comes to erasing stubborn odors, a more targeted approach can be highly effective. Here’s how you can do it:

**1. Gather Your Ingredients:**
– To tackle those lingering odors, you’ll need a few household staples:
– 1000 ml (1 liter) of water
– 30 ml of lemon juice
– 2 teaspoons of baking soda (bi-carb soda)

Dry your thermomix bowl

**2. Prepare the Solution:**
– Start by adding the 1000 ml of water to your Thermomix bowl.
– Pour in the 30 ml of lemon juice, which not only has a refreshing scent but also has natural cleaning properties.
– Add the 2 teaspoons of baking soda (bi-carb soda) to the mix. Baking soda is renowned for its odor-absorbing abilities and its gentle abrasive action, which helps to scrub away stubborn residues.

**3. Seal It Up:**
– Place the lid on your Thermomix and ensure the measuring cup (MC) is in place.

**4. Set the Parameters:**
– Configure your Thermomix settings as follows:
– 15 minutes of cooking time
– Varoma temperature (typically around 120-125 degrees Celsius)
– Speed setting at 3

**5. Let It Work Its Magic:**
– Start the Thermomix on the specified settings, and let it run for the full 15 minutes. During this time, the lemon juice and baking soda will help neutralize and eliminate the odors that have clung to the bowl.

**6. Rinse and Dry:**
– After the cycle is complete, carefully remove the bowl and pour out the solution.
– Rinse the bowl thoroughly with warm water to remove any remaining residue.
– Once it’s been rinsed clean, dry the bowl thoroughly with a clean cloth or towel.

This process effectively eradicates lingering odors from your Thermomix bowl, leaving it fresh and ready for your next culinary adventure. The combination of lemon juice and baking soda not only tackles the smells but also helps clean and sanitize the bowl. It’s a simple yet highly efficient way to ensure that your Thermomix remains odor-free and in tip-top condition for all your future cooking endeavors.
