Now, I count calories, feel better, eat better, and still rely on my Thermomix almost daily to make it easy and delicious.

Well Perth… you really outdid yourself.
I can’t thank Anna and Rod enough for their incredible hospitality, kindness, and friendship. It truly was a week filled with belly laughs, passionate yelling, plenty of love, brainstorming sessions, and so much fun. Oh and let’s not forget the cooking. Anna’s shortbread. Oh wow oh wow oh wow! I got 2 big bags to bring home to Chris @enjoy.theday
From fantastic meetings with David from @thelupinco at the East Fremantle Yacht Club, to a beautiful dinner at Mary and Rob’s (Anna’s lovely parents), birthday dinners at the pub, and wandering the night markets sharing ice-cream — every moment was special.
The weather spoiled me too. Leaving 40 degrees behind and stepping off the plane into 11 was a bit of a shock! But I did get lucky enough to catch a little rainbow orb from my window seat, which felt like the perfect goodbye.
Thank you, Perth. I’ll be back. ✈️✨
Don’t you just love it when clients — or friends — ask you to make a cake, even though it’s not your profession? Ask me for a website and I’m all over it. Cakes, though? That’s my guilty pleasure.
Alex came to me with zero preconceived ideas and left it completely in my hands.
And so, a @funkybatter Cookies & Cream cake came to life, using their incredible Battercream — finished in classic black and white for a proud Collingwood supporter. The family were absolutely over the moon with the result and said it tasted totally delicious! 🎂🖤🤍

✨ Grilled Salmon with Burrata & Rocket Salad ✨
Paired with oven baked Zucchini in a Parmesan Crumb – this dinner is as delicious as it looks!
Our salmon was coated with a spicy-sweet mix of 1 tbsp steak seasoning + 1 tbsp brown sugar. Press it into the top of each fillet and air fry at 190°C for 10 minutes – the result? Perfectly juicy salmon with a caramelised crust. 😋
For the zucchini: slice into rounds, whisk 1 egg, and in another bowl mix equal parts panko crumbs and Parmesan. Dip each slice into egg, then crumb. Lay in a single layer on a rack and bake at 200°C for 15 minutes, flip, then bake for another 5–7 minutes until golden and crisp.
Plate it up with fresh rocket and creamy burrata, drizzle with a touch of olive oil and cracked pepper, and dinner is served!

When a lovely client and friend asked me to make a baby shower cake for their son and daughter-in-law, I was so excited! 🎂
Hannah sent through a photo of what she wanted — I tried and tried, but just couldn’t get it right (the joys of home baking!). She told me she’d be happy with a plain white cake… but I thought, no way!
So I came up with a new plan — and it worked 🙌
A four-tier White Chocolate Funkybatter Cake with Nutella filling, covered in silky FunkybatterCream, fondant flowers, and a touch of gold leaf ✨
Did it go to plan? Not exactly.
Did it turn out beautifully? I think so 💛
