Life isn’t about dieting — it’s about building habits that last. After 5 years with WW, I realised it wasn’t enough for me anymore. Approaching 60, I needed a realistic, nourishing approach that supported my health — good fats, essential oils, and sustainable eating.

Now, I count calories, feel better, eat better, and still rely on my Thermomix almost daily to make it easy and delicious.

I want to apologise for being absent with recipes and new food ideas lately. Work has been overwhelmingly busy, my weight has been up and down, and I’ve been running on crazy hours — averaging 10-hour days, six days a week, completely neglecting myself.

Bali is my chance to slow down, reflect, and reset my mind before returning home. With my 60th birthday coming up in December, I’m making a promise to focus on me and do all the things that nurture my body, mind, and soul.

Morning from Sanur – honestly, this place is heaven on earth (with a touch of sauna on the side 🥵).
We kicked off at a “cool” 26° and humid, but the second the sun popped up it was like someone cranked the oven to full blast.

Our stroll from the hotel to the marina included a very necessary breakfast stop at Puri Santrian – because walking without food is just exercise, and nobody came here for that 😂.

Finished up with icy cold drinks for the girls and a well-earned Bintang for the boys 🍻. Hydration is key, after all!

Now it’s officially rest, recover, and pretend-we-didn’t-sweat-like-tourists time.

✨ Dinner tonight was a winner! ✨ We made Jamie Oliver’s Fantastic Fish Pie 🐟🥧 and it did not disappoint. Creamy, comforting, and full of flavour — this dish instantly took me back to childhood memories of Mum’s salmon kedgeree 💛

There’s something so nostalgic about a fish pie — the crispy golden top, the rich filling, the feeling of being wrapped in a warm food hug. Just what you need on a cold winters night.
