The ThermoCouple

Food, Thermomix & a Healthier Me

Life isn’t about dieting — it’s about creating habits that support your health long term.

After 5 years with WW, I decided to move on. With no local workshops and too much uncertainty, it no longer felt right for me. My age, blood test results, and conversations with my doctors made it clear: WW just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

As I approach 60, I’ve learned how vital good fats and essential oils are for women’s health. I needed a new approach — one that’s realistic, nourishing, and sustainable.

I’ve now shifted to calorie counting, and yes — it’s working! I’m feeling better, eating better, and still using my Thermomix almost every day to make it all easy and delicious.

Curious to know more? Reach out — I’m happy to share what’s working for me: sue@thethermocouple.com.au

Baby Rusks in a Thermomix®

Baby Rusks in a Thermomix®

My kids used to love the Farley Baby Rusks. They would chomp on them for hours. They would also lose them, gag on them - shove them down the back of their mouth. So I decided to see if I could make ROUND Rusks and it worked. Mine look like a sliced bagel. Easy to hang on to, easy to chew, hard to choke on. These are Ivy tried and tested and she just loved them. They get "goopy" but don't ...

✨ Dinner tonight was a winner! ✨ We made Jamie Oliver’s Fantastic Fish Pie 🐟🥧 and it did not disappoint. Creamy, comforting, and full of flavour — this dish instantly took me back to childhood memories of Mum’s salmon kedgeree 💛

There’s something so nostalgic about a fish pie — the crispy golden top, the rich filling, the feeling of being wrapped in a warm food hug. Just what you need on a cold winters night.

If you’re craving comfort food that hits the spot, this is it. Thanks Jamie — you’ve done it again! 👏

I did use cooking cream, not double cream and cut back on the cheese but could I tell the difference-NO!

Tonight’s dinner was the ultimate comfort food – Easy Cheesy French Onion Chicken Bake from Anna’s website. @feedmehealthy_annavandyken

It’s one of our all-time favourites – rich, full of flavour, and irresistibly delicious. That golden, cheesy top gets us every time! We always serve it with creamy mashed potatoes and a side of steamed veggies. Simple, hearty, and oh-so-satisfying. Comfort food done right. 💛🍽️ Calories: 500 for my meal. Anna’s Chicken 350 per breast.

Wow 🤩 Anna’s PEACH & CHERRY CRUMBLES are next level! I split it into 4 serves so we can enjoy it all over again tomorrow 😍

When I first made this, I wasn’t sure the crumble would be enough for the fruit… but it was perfect. Now it is my go to dessert. Sweet and healthy and only 300 calories for a large serve.

Huge thanks to Anna for this beautiful recipe! It’s from her second book 💛✨ @feedmehealthy_annavandyken

It’s been way too long since I made this Chicken, Spinach & Leek Risotto — and I forgot how much I love it! 💚🍚

I used to avoid it because WW had it super high in points, but after crunching the macros and calories myself, it actually stacks up really well:

✨ 322 cals
🍗 29g protein
🥑 20g fat
🌱 3g total carbs

I’m not on WW anymore, so can’t give you the points — but trust me, it’s so worth it. Comfort food done right! 🙌
